The July 24 Women's Open House will feature feminist singer-songwriter -D.J. (Deb) Adler. She has performed throughout the Midwest and on the East Coast, and has recently released a cassette tape of her original music.
The Women's Open House is a coffeehouse held on the 4th Sunday of each month at 2728 Lancashire (off Coventry near Mayfield). We are open from 8:00 p.m. till midnight with music beginning at 9:00 p.m. Coffee, teas, juice and snacks are available, and a $1.50 donation is asked at the door. The Open House is non-profit and chemical-free, and all women are welcome. For more information, call 371-0483.

Tenth Muse Productions of Kent is pleased to announce WomynFair '82— our 2nd annual music and craft extravaganza-on Sunday, July 25th, rain or shine, from 1-7pm behind the Coffeehouse building at 202 N. Lincoln St. in Kent. It will include a raffle, live music, area artisans, organizational tables, craftswomen, food, and a dunking machine. Admission $.75. All women welcome.
A National Coalition Against Sexual Assault Conference will be held in Seattle, Washington from July 28-August 1. The National Black Nurses' Association will hold its Tenth National Institute and Conference July 28-August 1 in Atlanta, Georgia. This conference is designed to provide an opportunity for health-care providers to gain information, knowledge and skills that will help them function more effectively. "A Message from Women: A Report from an International Meeting at Haifa'' will be delivered July 29, 1982 at 6:30 p.m. by Women Speak Out for Peace and Justice (WILPF). Women's Blues Band with Swamp
Hope, Courage, Inspiration and Creativity is the theme of the 11th Woman's Writing Conference/Retreat sponsored by The International Women's Writing Guild which will take place at Skidmore College, Saratoga Springs, NY August 13-20, 1982. The conference is open to all women regardless of professional writing accomplishments. More than 30 workshops will deal with various subjects geared to stimulate creative energy. The Ohio Lesbian/Gay Rights Coalition will sponsor its fifth consecutive Gay Rights booth at the Ohio State Fair August 6-22. The booth offers support and services for Gay/Lesbian people and information for non-gay fairgoers. We need nearly $2,000 to cover the costs of display construction, printing of pamphlets, mailing costs and other necessary costs. We also need 250 people to work 4to 5-hour shifts to staff the booth. The Land Project is presently a group of 13 women who own 38 acres of land in Northwest Pennsylvania with an unfinished but livable house, barn, pond, nieadow and woods. We are interested in sharing the land with other women. Our next open weekend will be September 11-12, 1982. We will leave Cleveland Saturday morning and return Sunday evening. We will provide food, a sleeping space and transportation for a fee of $20.00. There will be structured and free time. We want no alcohol, drugs or pets, and there will be no smoking indoors. Perfect in her Place, an exhibition tracing the contribution of women's labor, sponsored by the Smithsonian Institution, will begin its national tour at the First National Bank, Fort Dodge, IA from September 4-October 3.
